Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This policy explains what ClipStellar ("we", "us") collects when you use clipstellar.com (jarvisclip.com before October 2026), the ClipStellar desktop app and the ClipStellar Discord server — and what we do with it. The short version: we only collect what we need to sign you in, show your purchases and license keys, and give you your Discord roles. We don't sell your data and we don't run ads.
What we collect
- Your email address — when you sign in with an email code, so we can send you the code and show the purchases made with that email.
- Your Discord account — only if you choose to connect it or sign in with it: your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar and email. We use it to sign you in, add you to the ClipStellar server and give you the Buyer / Customer roles.
- Purchase details — payments are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our payment provider and merchant of record. Polar tells us when an order is paid, refunded or ends (your email, the plan, the order, date and status), and we make your license key from that. We never see or store your card details.
- License checks — the desktop app sends your license key and a random install ID to check that your license is valid.
- Edit counts — for the free trial and the Day Pass, the app tells us when a new edit is made, as a short code that can't be turned back into anything about the edit (no file names, folders or video). The free trial also sends a one-way scrambled ID of your PC, so each PC gets one trial. We can't work out your PC's real ID from it.
- Invites — if you join through someone's invite link, we note who invited you. They see your email partly hidden (like jo••••@gmail.com) and whether you've tried ClipStellar. Nothing else is shared.
- Basic technical data — like any website, our hosting provider processes your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect against abuse (for example, limiting how many sign-in codes can be requested).
What stays on your PC
The movies you import, the clips ClipStellar cuts, your edits and your TikTok sign-in stay on your own computer. ClipStellar does not upload your movies to us, and we never see your TikTok password — posts are made from your PC.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To show your orders and license keys in your dashboard.
- To give and update your Discord roles.
- To answer your support tickets.
- To keep the service secure.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who helps us run ClipStellar
- Cloudflare — hosts the website and stores account data.
- Polar — payments, receipts and sales tax.
- Resend — sends the sign-in code emails.
- Discord — if you connect your Discord account.
They only process your data to provide their service to us.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in (up to 30 days), a short-lived one while you sign in with Discord, and — only if you open someone's invite link — one that remembers who invited you (up to 30 days). No tracking or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Sign-in codes: 10 minutes.
- Sign-in sessions: up to 30 days.
- Edit counts: up to 90 days. Trial keys: a month after they end. The scrambled PC ID of a free trial: kept, so the same PC can't start another trial.
- Your account record and Discord link: until you disconnect Discord or ask us to delete your account.
- Order records are kept by Polar as needed for tax and accounting.
Your choices
You can disconnect Discord at any time from your dashboard. To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, open a ticket in our Discord server and we'll take care of it.
Children
ClipStellar isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
